Who are we?

The Eczema Association of Australasia Inc (EAA) is a charity not-for-profit organisation and was founded in January 1994 with the mission of bringing community support, awareness and mass advocacy to the management and treatment of eczema.

Highly regarded within Australian healthcare, the EAA has a vast array of community education resources dedicated to the wide range of issues associated with the management, treatment and impact of eczema.

  • has strong working relationships with Australian & international dermatologists, natural therapists, health care professionals, pharmaceutical and companies who manufacture products which may be beneficial to eczema sufferers

  • is a member of the International Alliance of Dermatology Patient Organisations (IADPO) also known as GlobalSkin, a non-profit organisation made up of skin patient associations from around the world.

Our aim

As well as supporting and educating eczema sufferers, their carers and the wider community, the EAA also aims to:

  • greatly increase public awareness of eczema
  • improve and broaden the availability of medical treatments and supplies for eczema sufferers
  • maintain links with medical professionals to ensure continuance of up-to-date information
  • facilitate specialised research with the Australian College of Dermatologists into the causes and effects of eczema.

Our funding

The EAA is funded by Queensland Health, corporate partnerships, donations and member subscriptions and is dedicated to providing the best information available to anyone who is interested in learning about the debilitating and frustrating skin condition which is eczema.
